It’s all about the animals!

Saturday, November 5th, animal lovers gathered at the Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge in Pittsboro, NC, to celebrate 10 years of rescuing and providing safe and loving homes for goats, sheep, chickens, roosters, ducks, turkeys, and cows.

It was a beautiful evening under a full moon, the open air pavilion comfortably cooled by a gentle, unseasonably mild breeze. Occasionally a curious cow would wander up to the nearby fence to see what all the fuss was about. Little did they know it was about them!

Vegan Friendly Cooking was pleased to provide a sweet treat – mini pecan tarts – for the food buffet as well as Online and In Person Cooking Classes for the auction. Congrats to the winners!

I had such a good time meeting new friends and perusing the tempting array of auction items. And guess what? I won the raffle for the Kitchen Basket!!! How perfect was that? Take a look at all of the cool cookbooks and beautiful pottery and linens that now grace my bookshelves and countertop.

A table with many books and magazines on it
Loving the beautiful Cow Tote Bag 🙂
